    CA Bakehouse is a Vietnamese-Chinese traditional family bakery founded by the Lam family that has been passed down for three generations. In 1990, they opened their first store, Le Monde, bringing their baking expertise to the United States. Their popularity quickly grew when they became the first business in the United States to sell "green waffles."

    Perhaps pastry chef’s Ms. Lam’s most defining trait is her daring use of exotic ingredients and baking style fusions. CA Bakehouse uses a Southeastern Asian herb, pandan leaves, as the main flavor and color of their pastries, alongside other exotic tropical flavors from aromatic guava to the bold durian.

  • They also incorporate French baking influences into her baking style, combining the best of both European and Asian techniques. The end result is are pastries that explode in your mouth with a  delightful Southeast Asian punch alongside the relaxing Parisian atmosphere. And on top of all else, Ms. Lam accomplishes this without the need for preservatives or food coloring in her process.
